Attention: As part of your city taxes each building in Brooklyn now comes well equipped with a personal DJ that not only will frequently blast music to you, but will go out of their way to build and maintain the vibe of each apartment within the range of their speakers.

Dedicated and volunteering their time, these magical eclectic beings work for the sole benefit of spreading the vibes that this borough is mainly recognized for: a party, where you don’t quite have to leave your bed.

yes.
this is why you are paying that extra money:
frequent sound entertainment value.

Mid afternoon you come home
and it’s already there;
that damn song you somehow needed to hear — the intrusive bass that welcomes itself into your ear.

you don’t even need headphones.

it exists on the outside.

like a doctor to its patient, your building (or neighborhood) DJ has and will continue to save you more times than not.

Testimony:
“
Once I thought about moving apartments, changing neighborhoods and scenes or maybe even just moving up the block…

but i’m couldn’t.

i’m too afraid that the next building DJ assigned to me won’t be as good as the one i currently have.

you know,

it’s like this one has really begun to really understand me.

he plays all of my favorite tunes and then mixes it up so good then throws in some other stuff

i find myself wrapped up in the beat,
wondering what it is that he’s trying to tell us.
what are those words within the music that we can’t hear?
how can i leave these sounds and not miss it?

i’d definitely, probably, most likely, will have to keep the building key
sneak back inside from time to time just to Shazam what he’s blasting through his door.

is there a fee for non residents?

is there some kind of subscription package deal that we can workout for ex listeners?

or maybe he can come to me if i move???

maybe he can follow me around everywhere and I can trade these awful deafening headphones for a mobile DJ with speakers on wheels.

ok.

maybe it is far fetched
but this guy has clearly become an essential worker.

did they give him the vaccine first?

NOTHING can happen to him.

i hope he never dies
and lives forever
i hope he never moves away.

shit, i hope he doesn’t leave his apartment

especially after 5 when i come home and i need a little time to unwind
he better be in there playing something!!

i hope he doesn’t have to get a job.
i hope they let him live rent free.

i hope all he does in his free time is work on playlist and find new music

nothing else!

well, maybe sleep.
and eat.

i hope he’s taking care of himself
we need him

our musical rebbe

teaching us with vibes.
showing us how to live.
how to relax.
to be.
to flow.

how to completely let go.
